20th Anniversary Celebration

FPGROC’s 20th Anniversary Celebration!

Family Promise of Greater Rochester is thrilled to celebrate our 20th anniversary on Saturday, October 19th at La Luna in High Falls, from 6:00-9:00 PM.

Experience an unforgettable night as we reflect on our journey, honor our supporters, and celebrate changemakers who have worked to reshape systems, remove barriers, and build a community where housing is affordable, decent, equitable, and safe.

This exciting event will feature grazing stations, silent auction, paddle call, and more!

We are pleased to announce Karen Iglesia, founder of PrimeTime585, Inc., as emcee for the event.

Karen Iglesia, together with her husband, founded PrimeTime585, Inc. The organization is built on the belief that teenage years are the prime time to promote compassion, tolerance, and cultural sensitivity. 585 is our region’s area code but service all of section five.

PrimeTime585 engages young adults through social media platforms which showcase the talent of a diverse population of local athletes and theater students. This builds their confidence and promotes the kids talents to others in the Rochester area. Volunteer opportunities are encouraged as well. City and suburban families have come together to provide necessities to those in need through Thanksgiving food drives as well as Christmas toy and coat drives.

Karen provides a bridge between youth and law enforcement by connecting the two groups through the sports camps that Primetime runs. Primetime585 created several FREE camps in various communities from city to suburb to rural communities. Karen’s passion for young people helped to create a unique platform with tens or thousands of followers.

Karen’s service is especially relevant at a time when Rochester has experienced an increase in violence and gang activity. Primetime585 is having a positive impact on the youth of our region by highlighting those who are making positive choices.

Karen has a weekly high school sports segment on News 8 Rochester. She also produces and hosts the Primetime/News 8 Elite Awards show, which honors the outstanding high school athletes for each sport. There are three shows per year.
