Engagement Opportunities
Engagement Opportunities
Community and Congregational Engagement is the umbrella under which individuals and organizations support FPGROC staff, programs, and families to assist those at risk of or experiencing homelessness to achieve sustainable independence. We invite those with or willing to learn a family-centered, anti-racist mindset to join us through the following opportunities:
Volunteer as a Group or Individual
FPGROC relies on volunteers for a variety of jobs including cleaning, furniture moving, and other manual labor, organizing donations, answering phones, and (eventually) activities with the families.
Join us for Second Saturdays
A new community engagement opportunity inaugurated in February 2023, Second Saturdays will center housing and racial justice and emphasize volunteerism and learning at the FPGROC Day Center.
March 2023: Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
May 2023: Church of the Epiphany
October 2023: Pearce Memorial
November 2023: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Pittsford
February 2024: St. Joe’s, Penfield

FPGROC’s Housing is a Human Right presentation
… and more!
Educate & advocate
Affordable, decent, equitable housing will be seen as a human right and every family will have a place to call home only with systemic-level change.
Host a Third-Party Fundraiser
Host a small concert, craft or garage sale, 5k or walk, or can/bottle drive, or donate your proceeds for a night or week if you own a business to FPGROC. Learn more about third-party fundraising on our financial support page.
Support FPGROC financially
More than 90% of FPGROC’s income to support families facing homelessness is donated by individuals, congregations, organizations, and foundations.
